Ballyhaunis Tidy Towns is pleased to welcome everyone to attend the launch of its Biodiversity Action Plan on Friday, 22nd March at 12pm, at the Ballyhaunis Community Hall (F35 Y337).
The plan is the result of over 18 months of research and fieldwork led by ecologist Dr. Mary Tubridy. The four-year plan focuses on the rich flora and fauna around the Friary Grounds park in the centre of town, and the River Dalgan which flows through it.
Mayo County Council officials, Local Authority Waters Programme programme officers, and experts are expected to attend. We invite residents associations, schools, businesses, tidy towns clubs from surrounding communities and enthusiasts to join this free, family-friendly event.
